An annual award, the Neville Crowe Tiger of the Year is awarded to the Richmond Football Club player of the year, as voted by the South East Tigers members.

Our group is thrilled to be able to honour one of greatest ever Tigers with this medal, and we thank Neville & Valy for their support of our supporter group, and this new award.

Highlights of Neville Crowes lifetime as a Tiger Legend.

Joined Richmond in 1957, and played 150 games and kicked 84 goals, offering great service as a key ruckman/forward before retiring in 1967. He represented Victoria 7 times, and captained the club from 1963-1966. All Australian 1966. 3 time RFC Best & Fairest – 1963, 1964 & 1966 (and 3rd in 1961, despite missing the second half of the season due to injury). The fact Neville retired without a much deserved Premiership medallion is the cause of so many True Tigers harbouring such a deep hatred of Carltank.

President from 1987 to 1993, Neville spearheaded the Save our Skins campaign which saved the club from folding due to increasing debt.

Without his efforts, there would be no Richmond Football Club.

A True Tiger, and absolute Legend.
